Starter a nitrogen-fixing bacterium called Rhizobium, which operates symbiotically by stabilizing nitrogen in the root nodules of plants. These bacteria form nodules on plant roots, where they convert atmospheric nitrogen into a usable form for the plant and, in return, receive nutrients from the plant.
